Go to your field and your gardens, and you shall learn that it
is the pleasure of the bee to gather honey of the flower,
But it is also the pleasure of the flower to yield its honey to the bee.
For to the bee a flower is a fountain of life,
And to the flower a bee is a messenger of love.
From The Prophet – Kahlil Gibran
Heavenly Honey is surrounded by the Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest. This location was selected to try to ensure that our honey bees live in a natural setting, where herbicides, pesticides and genetically modified organisms (gmo) are not used. We believe that honey bees living in this natural environment, assisted by supportive, organic beekeeping methods, will thrive; free of colony collapse syndrome and other modern threats. It is challenging in the U.S.A., to find a location where honeybees are not exposed to toxic elements but we are hopeful and excited that this will be achieved here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Our goals at Heavenly Honey are to demonstrate that honey bees will thrive in an organic environment and also to produce “Treasures from the Hive” products that are certified organic and non-gmo.The process of obtaining these certifications is underway.
We hope to help the honey bees, because they are in danger, and their health is so important to life on our planet.
Think not forever of yourselves, O chiefs, nor of your own generation. Think of continuing generations of our families, think of our grandchildren and of those yet unborn, whose faces are coming from beneath the ground.
